The LORD our Passover

Still on May 1.

Ephesians 1:2-14 (4) “Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenliest in Christ: According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestined* us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His Will, to the praise of the glory of His Grace, wherein He has made us accepted in the beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace; Wherein He has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known to us the mystery of His Will, according to His good pleasure which He has purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; In Him: In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined* (predetermined) according to the purpose of Him Who works all things after the counsel of His own Will: That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation: In Whom also after that you believe, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the Redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”

1Timothy 6:1-10, 11-16, 17-19 (19) “Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and His doctrine be not blasphemed. And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit (having God's wisdom and knowledge of the mysteries as trust worthy stewards now received of God). These things teach and exhort. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputing of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, with many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love (the promoting for more) of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereto you are called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses. I give you charge in the sight of God, Who quickens all things, and Christ Jesus, Who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That you keep His commandment without spot, un-rebuked, until the appearing (to become clearly known in each of mans generations) of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in His time He shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and LORD of lords; Who only has immortality, dwelling in the Light which no man can approach to; Whom no man has seen, nor can see: to Whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, Who gives us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on Eternal Life.”

2Timothy 2:14-19, 20-3:9 (19) “Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, to the subverting of the hearers. Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (delineating) the word of Truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are His. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet (fit) for the Master's use, prepared for every good work. Therefore flee youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the LORD out of a pure heart. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the Truth; that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despiser's of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to “the knowledge of the Truth” (Mat. 11:29). Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the Truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs (Jannes and Jambres) also was.” This is why we are to have the ability to discern the spirit within man. (1Corinthians 12)

Genesis 12:1-3 “Now the LORD said to Abram, Get out of this country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you: I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and “in (because of) you shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
