The LORD our Passover

Continuing with the indexing for May 9th

In 1Thessalonias 1:2-10 we find this; "We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, your election of God. For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: So that you were ensamples (examples) to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the Living and True God; To wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Form here I will turn our attention toward John and his 1John letter in chapter 1 where he bears witness of Christ Jesus as he knew Him at the first in the flesh and moving on to verse 5 where we find this; “This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare to you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the Truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleansed us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

From here turn to chapter 2 beginning at verse 18 to find this; “Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that anti-Christ shall come, even now are there many anti-Christs; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But you have an unction (an inner knowing) from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son, (as LORD of all) the same has not the Father: (but) he that acknowledges the Son (as LORD) has the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

This is the promise that He has promised us, Eternal Life. These things have I written to you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it (He) has taught you, you shall abide In Him. And now, little children, abide In Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of Him.” And now turning our attention  by moving on to chapter 4 where we find this beginning in verse 7 through 5:4.
