The LORD our Passover

Beginning the indexing for May 8th.

In John 13:11 we find this; “For He knew who should betray Him; therefore He said, You are not all clean.” (Ezekiel 36:(25-26) 22-32)

Ezekiel 36:22-32 (25-26) “Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus said the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the heathen, wherever you have gone. And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, said the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony (calloused) heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart (of understanding, willingness and wisdom to know truth) of flesh (compassion, charity and goodness). I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. (This would be a good place for the understanding of the fig-tree parable to be placed.) And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that you shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. Not for your sakes do I this, said the Lord GOD, be it known to you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.”

This is what should take place while we are within the first estate of redemption, because within it the Holy Spirit bring us to ourselves. To see ourselves are we are, putrid and putrefying, and good for nothing and utter corrupted and in bankruptcy without Him.

Then in John 13:18 we have this; I know whom I have chosen.” (Heb. 4:13, Rom. 11:25-36, Rev. 2:23)

Hebrews 4:4-13, 14-16 (13) “For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into My rest. Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, He limits a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into His rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (look at 1John 1:9) For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Romans 11:25-32, 33-36 “For I would not, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel (Ps. 107:43, Hos. 14:9), until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in (Ps. 22:27, 72:8-14, 127:1, Is. 2:1-8, 60:1-22, 66:18-23, Mic. 4:1-2, Zec. 8:20-23, 14:9-21, Lk. 21:24, Rev. 7:9, 11:15, 20:2-4). And so all Israel shall be saved*: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is My covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes (Rom. 11:11, 30, Mat. 21:43, Acts 13:45-46, 14:2, 18:6, 1Thes. 2:15-16): but (Rom. 11:7, Is. 41:8-9) as touching the election, they are beloved** for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (Num. 23:19, Hosea 13:14, Mal. 3:6) For as in times past you have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. (Rom. 11:11-19) For God has concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all.

*The referenced passaged for this are a long one and that is why I have chosen to set it here as follows: (shall be saved; Is. 11:11-16, 45:17, 54:6-10, Jer. 3:17-23, 30:17-22, 31:31-37, 32:37-41, 33:24-26, Eze. 34:22-31, 37:21-28, 39:25-29, 40:1-48:35, Hos. 3:5, Jeol 3:16-21, Amos 9:14-15, Mic. 7:15-20, Zep. 3:12-20, Zec. 10:6-12; There shall; Ps. 14:7, 106:47, Is. 59:20: and shall turn; Mat. 1:21, Acts 3:26, Titus 2:14)
**for the same reason as (*), (are delivered: Gen. 26:4, 28:14, Lev. 26:40-42, Deut. 4:31, 7:7-8, 8:18, 9:5, 10:15, Ps. 105:8, Jer. 31:3, Micah 7:20, Lk. 1:54, 68-75)

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been His counselor? Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed to him again? For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to Whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
