The saga of "The Secret of GOD", fulfilled in Christ.

Now with the Jews this is quite a contentious point of view. But from GOD'S it is that which counts and stands. Leviticus 23 lists the moadims, of which there are but seven in total, as follows. Now because it will be easier to show those moadims not yet completed I will do so with a [ * ]. I might note that all Jewish Feasts are governed by the Moon as a Lunar event judged / called by a priest and not by a fixed day on the Gregorian Calendar. Also because such verses as Leviticus 23:5 have a word that also equates to a person, the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon does not show its meaning, such as the Strong's H6453 for "Passover." Now there is a problem in matching scriptures because of the contamination forced upon us by the translators as they did so by order of the church, first the Jewish leadership and then the Roman Catholicism crowd.

Leviticus 23:5 (KJV) "In the fourteenth day of the first month (Mar-Apr) at even is the LORD'S passover."

Leviticus 23:6 (KJV) " And on the fifteenth day of the same month (Apr) is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread."

Leviticus 23:10 (KJV) "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest (Apr) unto the priest:"

Leviticus 23:16 (KJV) "Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days (May)(weeks / pentecost); and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD."

Leviticus 23:24; (KJV) "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month (Sept), in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation."

Leviticus 23:27 (KJV) "Also on the tenth day of this seventh month (Sept) there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD."

Leviticus 23:34; Nehemiah 8:14; Micah 4:1-7:
Leviticus 23:34 (KJV) "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month (Sept-Oct) shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD."

Nehemiah 8:14 (KJV) "And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:"

Micah 4:1-7 (KJV) "But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever."

Now beginning at the first feast, we shall look to the New Covenant for it's completion. With each feast Jesus spoke as one with authority revealing it's secret in heavenly language which those of no trust or faith did not understand. And according to scripture they still don't, as long as they cling to the letter of external use and understanding. For a vail remains upon them as stated in 2Corinthians 13:13-16 (KJV) "And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away."

Leviticus 23:5; 1Corinthians 5:7-8, 11:23-26, 27-32 (KJV) "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.....11:23-26 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come....Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. " (1Corinthians carries over into Lev. 23:6 here)

Leviticus 23:6; 1Corinthians 5:7-8, 6:18*, 11:23-26, 27-32; Hebrews 9:28:
*1Corinthians 6:18 "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."

Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin (spotless / without leaven / unleavened) unto salvation."

Leviticus 23:10; Hosea 6:2, 1Corinthians 15:20-22, James 1:17-18:
Hosea 6:2 "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight." (Matthew 27:51b-54; "And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; [b] and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God."

1Corinthians 15:20-22(KJV) "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."(Revelation 12:9)

James 1:17-18 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."

Leviticus 23:16; Acts 2:1 (KJV) "And when the day of Pentecost (Weeks, the offering of new meat received) was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."

*Leviticus 23:24; [Hosea 6:2; Matthew 27:51b-54, Ephesians 4:4-10, Colossians 2:8-15, Revelation 12:9, 20:2-3]; 1Corinthians 15:52, 1Thessalonians 4:13-18:

1Corinthians (KJV) "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
1Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV) "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

Leviticus 23:27; Zechariah 12:10, Hosea 6:2, Acts 2:37-38, Romans 11:1-6:
Zechariah 12:10 (KJV) "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

Hosea 6:2 "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight." (Matthew 27:51b-54, Ephesians 4:4-10 [Psalm 68:18], Colossians 2:8-15, Revelation 12:9)

Acts 2:37-38 (KJV) "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Romans 11:1-6 (KJV) "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."

Leviticus 23:34, 40-43, Nehemiah 8:14; Zechariah 14:16-19, John 1:14, Acts 2:1-4, Hebrews 11:9-10, 13-14:
Zechariah 14:16-19 (KJV) "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles."

John 1:14 (KJV) "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV) "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Hebrews 11:9-10, 13-14 (KJV) "By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country."

It seems from the above feast days that there remains but one to yet come to pass. Now for some word meanings, the first is in Lev. 23:5, Passover H6453 [pesach; peh'-sakh] this one is associated with the Lord as its meaning and therefore it has no other meaning attached to it in the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible. However the Strong's does have this: From H6452; a pretermission, that is, exemption; used only technically of the Jewish Passover (the festival or the victim): - passover (offering). H6452: [pâsach, paw-sakh'] A primitive root; to hop, that is, (figuratively) skip over (or spare); by implication to hesitate; also (literally) to limp, to dance: - halt, become lame, leap, pass over.

The next is unleaven bread of Lev. 23:6, Strong's H4682 [matstsâh, mats-tsaw'], meaning; Unleavened: A hard and flat bread or cake made without leaven. As a food that can be sucked on. kjv: unleavened bread, cakes, unleavened, without leaven; A strong pressure or pressing. A mental strength of courage or determination. Strong: To be mentally strong, firm, obstinate or courageous. kjv: strengthen, courage, strong, courageous, harden, speed, stronger, confirm, establish, fortify, increase, obstinate, prevail.

Our next one is Lev. 23:10 where we have firstfruits: Strong's H7225 [rê'shı̂yth, ray-sheeth']: Beginning: The head of a space such as the head of a river or time such as an event. |kjv: beginning, firstfruits, first, chief.

Then comes next the feast of Lev. 23:16 of the fifty days, weeks or pentecost: Strong's H2319 [châdâsh, khaw-dawsh'] meaning new, and H4503 [minchâh, min-khaw'] meaning: The pictograph n is a picture of a seed representing continuance, the h is a picture of a wall that separates the inside from the outside. Combined these mean "continue outside". The shepherd would guide his flock to a place of water. Here is water for drinking as well as green grass for pasturing. Once the flock arrives, they are free to rest after the long journey. A guided journey to a place of rest. A sigh of rest. Gift: What is brought to another. [Hebrew and Aramaic] jv: offering, present, gift, oblation, sacrifice, meat.
Our next one is in Lev. 23:24 with its blowing of trumpets, which bears the Strong's H8643 [terû‛âh,
ter-oo-aw'] meaning: Shout: A great shout of alarm, war or rejoicing. [kjv: shout, shouting, alarm, sound, blowing, joy.]

Next we have Lev. 23:27 where we fine this word Atonement meaning Strong's H3725 [kippûr,
kip-poor'], A protective covering to go over something or the covering of a debt or wrong, A covering over of transgression.

Last but not the lease is Lev. 23:34 "tabernacle" where we have both Leviticus and Nehemiah 8:14 "booths," meaning first tabernacle: Strong's H5521 [sûkkâh, sook-kaw'] meaning, Cover co: Booth ab: The pictograph x is a picture of a thorn representing protection, the k is a picture of the palm of the hand representing a covering. Combined these mean "protective covering". The watcher over the crops, flock or herd, would construct a covering (booth) as a shelter from the sun, wind or rain. These coverings were often constructed on an elevated position, and from materials readily available such as bushes, thorns and small trees. I. Booth: A dwelling place.  II. Harpoon: As a barbed thorn. III. Branch: Used for building a booth. [kjv]: tabernacle, booth, pavilion, cottage, covert, tent, branch.

If you noticed I stuck with the "KJV" for this study, as it was the easiest way to go. Okay, our next posting will begin our look at John 13, the LORD willing. The truth be known this part makes my head swirle as I get lost in all the Hebrew gargen. As I am but an old woods man turned mechanic now through the school of the Holy Spirit turned researcher and avid student of Him Who Is.
