The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 11.1 the renewed mind.

Jesus, being the last of the old prophets and under the control of both the Prophets and the Law of Moses. While the gift given for the restoration or re-genesis of man. Spoke like no prophet before Him or after Him, as we shall soon see here in John 11.

John 11:17-27 "Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, "Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee." Jesus saith unto her, 'Thy brother shall rise again.' Martha saith unto him, "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said unto her, "'I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?' She saith unto him, "Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world." (KJV)

John 11:17-27 "Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days. Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off, and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you." Jesus said to her, 'Your brother will rise again.' Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day." Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?' She said to him, "Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world." (ESV)

John 11:17-27 When Jesus arrived Lazarus was already in the tomb for four days. Now Bethany was only about two miles from Jerusalem. Many Jews came to comfort the two sisters. Martha immediately went out to meet Jesus when she heard of his arrival, while Mary was waiting in the house. Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you'd have been here earlier my brother would not have died. But I know that even now whatever you would ask of GOD he will give it to you." Jesus said to her, 'Your brother shall rise again.' Martha said, "Yes I know that he shall rise again in the conclusion of time." Jesus said, 'I am the resurrection and the life - he that believes in me shall live even though he died. And whoever is alive in the life that I am, shall never die. Do you believe this?' "Yes Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of GOD, who was destined to come into the world." (The Mirror)

John 11:28-37 "And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, "The Master is come, and calleth for thee." As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him. The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, "She goeth unto the grave to weep there." Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, "Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died." When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, and said, 'Where have ye laid him?' They said unto him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, "Behold how he loved him!" And some of them said, "Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?" (KJV)

John 11:28-37 "When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you." And when she heard it, she rose quickly and went to him. Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him. When the Jews who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And he said, 'Where have you laid him?' They said to him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. So the Jews said, "See how he loved him!" But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?" (ESV)

John 11:28-37 "Martha then called Mary secretly away from the attention of the mourners, saying, "The Lord is here and he wants to tell you something." Mary immediately jumped up and went out quickly to meet him. Jesus was not yet in the town where they lived but waited in the place where Martha met with him. The jews who had come from Jerusalem to console her, saw her getting up quickly to leave the house; they thought that she was going to weep at the grave so they followed her. When Mary came to the place where Jesus was waiting for her, she fell down at his feet saying to him, "Lord if only you were here, my brother wouldn't have died!" When Jesus saw her weeping and also the Jews mourning with her, he groaned in his spirit and was deeply moved. He asked, 'Where is the tomb?' They said, "Lord come and we'll show you." Jesus wept. The Jews remarked, "He really loved him very much!" Some of them reasoned, "Why could this man, who opened the blind eyes of a stranger, not prevent his friend's death?" (The Mirror)

Our next post will pick this up at verse 38, the LORD willing, next time.
