The saga of "The Secret of GOD", part 12.1 the renewed mind.

We are now looking at the Greeks seeking of Jesus, as word of His works have sparked their interest and attentions. Then we will begin to look into His own words that bring the completion of the Jewish only history of GOD's attention or for what most of the world it would seem so. It is this narrow mindedness (a mind centered on the soulish, worldly things, of man that cause the greatest hindrances of GOD's plan and purposes) that also sparked hostilities against Israel that we still hear and see to this very day, some 1979 + years later, when all come to an abrupt halt. Even this halt much of the worlds many religious forms of mans design don't see or know of, let alone understand. For GOD changed the epoch of times, that was and is of His discretion. GOD fostered this as a secret of GOD (Deuteronomy 29:29; Mark 4:11) before the foundations of the world was laid for humanity the very subject of GODS interest and great Love, this being held close to GOD Himself and only spoken of within the context of scriptures in heavenly language which requires His Spirit awaken within humanity to hear or to see as light of knowledge and understanding as a still quiet voice within us, the Word then put on flesh. Okay, now for John 12, picking the flow up with verse 20. So, please stick with me in this, as it becomes of some length.

John 12:20-26 "And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, "Sir, we would see Jesus." Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. And Jesus answered them, saying, 'The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.'" (KJV)

John 12:20-26 "Now among those who went up to worship at the feast were some Greeks. So these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus." Philip went and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. And Jesus answered them, 'The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.'" (ESV)

John 12:20-26 "There were also a number of Greeks who came to worship at the feast because of the rumors they had heard. They approached Phillip who was from Bethsaida in Galilee and saked of him, "Sir, we would be delighted to see Jesus. Is there perhaps any chance that you could introduce us to him?" (He had a Greek name and the Greeks may have seen Phillip in Galilee where there were many Greeks.) Phillip went and told Andrew and the two of them told Jesus. Jesus, immediately understood the prophetic significance of this moment (in Jewish and world history), knowing that he, the Messiah, was who all the nations were longing for and that he was their answer, answered, 'The hour is here for the Son of man to be glorified! (Jesus studied Scriptures as with a mirror - he knew that "in the book, it is written about me!" Haggai 2:7 and the desire of the nations shall come....look at Galatians 1:27.) Most certainly shall the single grain of wheat fall into the earth and die - if it doesn't die it remains alone - but in its death it will produce much fruit. To hold on desperately to a mere life defined by the soul realm is to lose it; but to abandon the soul substitute for the real deal is to observe your spiritual life which is the life of the ages. Whoever continues to minister to me, let him keep on following me; where I go you will share unhindered companionship with me. This shared union is what Father greatly values.'" (Note, ean with present active subjunctive of diakoneo, keep on serving with dative emoi; let him keep on following" - present active imperative of akoloutheo. Literally, eimi egoo...ho emos estai, to be where I am - look at John 14:20, in that day you will know that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.)

John 12:27-43 (Jesus is speaking) "'Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.' The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said, 'This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. (Luke 10:18-20; Revelation 12:7-9) And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.' This he said, signifying (the translators here missed the whole truth) what death he should die. The people answered him, "We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, the Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?" Then Jesus said unto them, 'Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light (this references back to Genesis 1:3), lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.' These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias (in Isiah 53:1, 6:10) the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, "Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." These things said Esaias (in Isaiah 6:1), when he saw his glory, and spake of him. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God." (KJV)

John 12:27-43 (Jesus is speaking) "'Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name.' Then a voice came from heaven: "'I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.'" The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him." Jesus answered, 'This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. (Luke 10:18-20; Revelation 12:7-9) And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.' He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die. So the crowd answered him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?" So Jesus said to them, 'The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light (this references back to Genesis 1:3), lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.' When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah (in Isaiah 53:1) might be fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah (in Isaiah 6:10) said, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them." Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him (Isaiah 6:1). Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God." (ESV)

John 12:27-43 "'My soul is exceedingly perplexed right now! What shall I say, 'Father!  Rescue me [1] out of the clutches of this hour!' No! This hour is the very culmination of my destiny! (Greek preposition, [1] ek, out of; source; origin.) 'Father! Glorify your name!' And immediately there came a voice out of the heavenly realm saying, "'I have glorified it, and I will glorify it yet again!'" The crowd heard the voice and said that it had thundered; while others thought it was the voice of an Shepherd-Messenger (angle). Jesus replied, 'This voice was not for my sake but for yours! (Signs are for the unbelieving, 1Corinthians 14:22) Now is the judgment (Luke 10:18-20; Revelation 12:7-9) of this world; this is the moment where the ruler of the world-systems is [1]conclusively cast out! (The serpent's head is about to be crushed! (Genesis 3:15; Colossians 2:14-15) This is what the Holy Spirit will convince the world of! John 16:11 John uses a double-barrel word here, ek-ballo ekso - completely thrown out!) When I am [1] lifted up from the earth, I will draw [2] all unto me!' ([1] He would be lifted up on a stake of a tree, cross, descend into the depths of our hell, then, according to the prophetic word of Hosea in 6:2, after two days be lifted up as representative of the human race, out of the lowest parts of the earth and elevated to the highest heavens! Ephesians 4:8-9; see also Ephesians 2:5-6 and Colossians 3:1-3. [2] All things included all of humanity and their judgment, leaving No One and nothing out of the equation, for all things of GOD are always good and complete to the smallest point. The subject of the sentence, as from the previous verse, Jesus would draw all judgment upon himself and thereby forever redeem humanity's innocence! John 3:14; 8:28; Acts 2:33 and 1John 3:5 We have witnessed with our own eyes how, in the unveiling of the prophetic word, when he was lifted up upon the cross as the Lamb of GOD, he [1] lifted up our sins and broke its dominion and rule over us! [John 1:29 "Behold, the Lamb of GOD, who [1]takes away [airo] the sin of the world! The word [1] airo means to lift up, as in to take away.]) This he said to point to the way in which he would die. (Look at John 19:15 - "lift him up! Crucify him!") The people answered him, "We understand from the Law [the Scriptures] that Christ remains forever. On what basis would you say then, that the Son of man would be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?" Then Jesus said, 'Yet a little while the light is in your midst; walk in accordance with the light that you have, (resonate with; echo) then you will not be overtaken by darkness. For the one who walks in darkness has no idea where to go. So long as you have (echo; resonate) the light, live persuaded [1] in the conclusion of light; oh that you [2]might realize your authentic origin as sons of light! (The preposition [1]eis points to conclusion; a point reached. The word [2]genesthe is from ginomai, to be born, to become is in the Aorist subjunctive Mood, which is similar to the Optative expressing a wish. The Mood of the Greek verb expresses the mode in which the idea of the verb is employed. This wish is consistent with the theme of John's conversation in this book, see John chapter 1. Look at 2Peter 1:19 For us the appearing of the Messiah is no longer a future promise but a fulfilled reality. Now it is your turn to have more than a second-hand, hear-say testimony. Take my word as one would take a lamp at night; the day is about to dawn for you in your own understanding. When the Morning Star appears, you no longer need the lamp; this will happen shortly on the horizon of your own heart.
To walk in the light as he is in the light means to see your life and everything that concerns you, exclusively from your Father's point of view. You are indeed the focus of your Father's attention and greatest of affection. To be convinced of your origin in GOD and Father's initiative in redeeming your mind from all the lie you believed about yourself, is the vital energy of the law of liberty. To reflect the opinion of GOD in your attitude and conservation makes your life irresistibly attractive.) Even though he had done so many miracles in front of their eyes they were still not persuaded about him. Their persistent unbelief reminds of what Isaiah said (in Isaiah 53:1), "Lord, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed! Who understands how GOD has reached into our world?" They were incapable of faith since Isaiah also said (in Isaiah 6:10), "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts so they cannot see with the eyes nor perceive with the heart and be transformed where I shall heal them." (Look at Romans 9:17-33 and 11:7 The very thing Israel sought to obtain through their diligent labor they failed to get; yet those who embaced grace as GOD's original intent hit the bull's eye every time, leaving the rest groping around in the darkness like blindfolded archers.
In Romans 11:8 Paul quotes from Isaiah, where he said, that GOD has given them a spirit of slumber, causing their eyes and ears not to function. This drowsiness seems to pervail even to this day. (Unbelief and religious ritual are blindfolds. "And the Lord said, this people draw near to me with their month and honor me with their lips but remove their hearts and minds far from me, and their fear and reverence for me are a commandment of men that is learned by repetition....[Isaiah 29:10-24]) Isaiah said these things when he saw the beauty of GOD on exhibit in the Messiah. (And he could not understand that the people of Israel wouldn't see this for themselves.) Many of the chief rulers believed that Jesus was the Messiah but because of the Pharisees they would not openly confess him since they knew that they would be thrown out of the assembly. They loved the [1]opion and recognition of the people more then the opinion of GOD!" (The word often translated, glory, [1]doxa is from dokeo, to form an opinion.) (The Mirror)

In our next look into John 12, the LORD willing, we shall hear Jesus' words which form His priestly prayer of John 17. Where we fine our oneness restored, as the completion of Genesis 2.
